'Adventurebug's answer to easy riding!  This week of gentle day rides is suited for those seeking that balance between visiting the great monuments of Andalucia and easy rolling through beautiful countryside.''

OVERVIEW

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This tour is designed for riders seeking less mileage gain and more of a well-rounded experience.  Although rides average 50 km a day, they are easy and can be finished by early afternoon – freeing you to explore the many attractions on offer, with or without your leader.

The tour’s theme blends Andalucia’s 3 monumental gems; Seville, Cordoba and Granada with some of Spain’s finest rural landscapes and pleasant backwaters where little has changed.  A one-of-a-kind cycle experience that caters to both lovers of history, art and romanticism and those seeking harmony with nature, lovely fresh air and some very easy riding days.

Peaceful rides through quiet plantations of orange, avocado, olive, cotton and sunflowers offer us a glimpse of rural life in Andalucia’s colorful valleys bordering the Guadalquivir river.  Evenings we immerse ourselves in the historic and cultural elements of the cities and small villages on route.  A particular highlight is the culinary delights including the wide range of local ‘tapas’ dishes, wines, sherries and fresh nuts, berries and fruits growing wild throughout the region.  Your enthusiastic local leader knows this land well and will introduce you to the true ‘Andaluz’ its eccentric people and vibrant customs such as leather crafts, pottery and Flamenco. Should there be a fiesta on, you will no doubt become part of the festivities!

Five van-supported day rides take us over quiet back roads with little disturbance. You are free to pedal at your own pace so there’s no pressure to ‘keep up’ or finish on time.  Support van sweeps the route every hour providing extra water and snacks and there’s no need to carry a thing except your camera and a drinking bottle.  If you desire, you are welcome to ride in the support van at any time.

TOUR THEME:
Easy day rides across open plains of sunflower, cotton and orange groves between enchanting villages and along the Rio Guadalquivir free our energy for the evening delights of Andalucia’s historic urban centres.  A pleasant combination of gentle day rides and introspective afternoons with your leader make this one of Spain’s most attractive cycle / cultural exploratory tours at a very competitive price.

NON CYCLISTS:
Not interested in cycling?  Feel free to join your partner, family or friends for a week relaxing at our cycling bases with a book or have a light stroll through the villages.  Join us in the evenings for dinner and still take in all the historic and cultural elements of our destinations.  We cater to non-cyclists and have a special price for you.  Please enquire directly.

DURATION OF TOUR / STARTING DAY:
8 days, 7 nights - starting on Sundays in Seville
